Low Bulrush

Low Bulrush, or Annual Tule, or Fiber-optic grass, is a low growing annual to perennial grass-like herbaceous plant, reaching (at most) 1 foot tall. Native across many regions of the world, but in CA found primarily in moist, sandy areas along the coast.

Tolerant of a variety of soils as long as moisture is high. Great for bogs, ponds, containers, water features or wet habitat. Cute tufts of greenery can be planted along a water feature, or kept green in a planter. Its leaves catch the light, and its densely tufted habit provides a nice accent in the garden.
