Blazing star

Blazing Star is an absolutely spectacular perennial wildflower that grows 1 – 3 ft. tall with large showy displays of yellow star-like flowers (6 inches wide!) from as early as May to October.

Blazing Stars thrive in full sun with well-draining rocky, sandy, or gravely soils and do not require summer water. They are often found growing in disturbed areas such as roadsides.

Blazing stars are a stunning addition to rock gardens, rocky slopes, and water-wise gardens. In the garden, they are sure to attract California native bees and bumblebees as they are a marvelous source of nectar and pollen.
