Monterey Cypress

Monterey Cypress is an iconic, endemic, fragrant coniferous tree found along California’s central coast. It is one of the tallest Cypress species, reaching 60 – 82 ft. tall with an upright growth form when young and develops a broad, sculptural, and windswept appearance as it matures.

Plant this species in quite a large area in cool, moist coastal areas or farther inland with additional water. It is tolerant of nutrient-poor and acidic soils as long as they are well-draining.

Great for a sculptural focal point of the landscape or may be planted into windbreaks or hedgerows.
