Santa Cruz Island Buckwheat is an evergreen shrub with a moderate growth rate. It grows from 2-7 feet tall and 2-9 feet wide.

It’s extremely drought tolerant, and after it is established and exposed to drought-stressed in the summer, the plant still looks beautiful.
