Ookow

Ookow is a perennial herbaceous geophyte reaching up to 2′ tall by 1′ wide when blooming. Each year, Ookow will die back to its corm (similar to a bulb) after blooming.

Native to western North America, and found in open, grassy places. Plant in well-draining, sunny areas that are free of weeds, and do not water once they’ve gone dormant. Great for dry perennial beds, meadows, or in containers.

Bulbs can be fragile, so handle gently or transplant after they’ve died back in midsummer. Plant in an area free of weeds.
