Ray Hartman wild lilac

The Ray Hartman’ form of mountain lilac is a fast-growing evergreen shrub to 15’x15′.

Upright growth in most gardens and narrow enough to make a superb screen or hedge. Expect a 20-25 year life if not over watered, not fertilized and no application of soil amendments.

The first of the season blooming is short, but the lovely flowers are worth it. The flowers are light to medium blue in 6″ flower spikes.

Cultivars such as this are horticultural selections and hybrids, not part of the native ecology but work beautifully in the garden.
